Need for Speed Unbound Year 2 is here and it's bigger and better than ever! With a new roadmap packed with exciting content, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Need for Speed Unbound is far from dead and is getting a lot of DLC.
Need for Speed Unbound is getting a surprise second year of DLC, as announced by developer Criterion Games. The developers have new things in store for players, and it's coming soon.
Without being a critical tidal wave, Need for Speed Unbound was more warmly received than the previous episode. A good little arcade game with exhilarating races, which was followed by its creators for a year. And that's not all, as Criterion is back today with a great announcement. You can take NFS Unbound out of the closet and reinstall it on consoles or PC.

A second year of DLC for Need for Speed Unbound.
Need for Speed Unbound is not over yet, and behind the scenes, the teams were preparing the sequel for the game but also for the future of the license. "Surprise! We're still here and we have a whole year of content to offer you! NFS is turning 30 and we couldn't just sit back and do nothing. [...] During this second year, you will play the ultimate NFS experience for the first time. We will listen, observe, and react to the things you want to see or not see" (via EA).
What is the future of Need for Speed Unbound?
It consists of four consecutive waves of content, called "Volumes," which will run from April to December 2024. In each of these volumes, Criterion Games promises at least one new mode or feature, two additional cars that can be fully customized with multiple interchangeable parts, events, weekly challenges, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
Starting with Wave 6, the one between February and April, there will be a Speed Pass with other vehicles and a wider choice of customization items each time. This Speed Pass will be available in two ways:
The Speed Pass with 45 levels of free content The Premium Speed Pass with about 30 levels of... paid content Need for Speed Unbound is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Need for Speed Unbound: A Huge Free DLC That Will Make player Happy.
Need for Speed Unbound is shifting into second gear with its brand new free DLC that offers a whole lot of new things. A highly anticipated multiplayer feature is also included.

The police were absent from the game at launch, and their return has been highly requested by players. They will now be present in both day and night multiplayer races. As in Heat, taking risks will be rewarded, and the police will become more aggressive as your heat level increases.
